This is a hands-on opportunity to build practical skills and gain real experience in a busy police service.</span></p>\n<p><span>You will work under the direction of the Communications Specialist and help create and organize content across TNPS platforms while supporting staff and community engagement activities.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Why TNPS</span></span></p>\n<p><span>TNPS is a community-focused police service that works closely with the Tsuut’ina Nation. You will gain experience in a professional environment while contributing to meaningful community engagement and public safety communication.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Why This Role</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Build practical experience in communications and digital media</span></li>\n<li><span>Create real content for social media, events, and campaigns</span></li>\n<li><span>Develop a strong portfolio of photo, video, and design work</span></li>\n<li><span>Work directly with officers, staff, and the community</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Key Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Create and support content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok</span></li>\n<li><span>Capture photo and video at events, police activities, and recruitment initiatives</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist with short-form video (Reels, TikToks, event recaps, recruitment content)</span></li>\n<li><span>Taking photos and videos at major community and summer events</span></li>\n<li><span>Support social media campaigns, including captions, scheduling, and planning</span></li>\n<li><span>Update website content using WordPress</span></li>\n<li><span>Create basic graphics using Canva or Adobe tools</span></li>\n<li><span>Organize and maintain photo and video files</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist with newsletters and other communications materials</span></li>\n<li><span>Support officers and departments with communications needs</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain confidentiality and use good judgement with sensitive information</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Prefer candidates currently enrolled or college or university. High school students may be considered.</span></li>\n<li><span>Valid driver’s licence</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience using social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or TikTok</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience creating video or digital content</span></li>\n<li><span>Basic experience with Canva, Adobe tools, or Microsoft 365</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong communication and organizational skills</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks</span></li>\n<li><span>Professional, reliable, and respectful approach</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to obtain a police security check</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Extra Experience That Helps</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Experience with WordPress or social media scheduling tools</span></li>\n<li><span>Photography or video editing experience</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience supporting events or campaigns</span></li>\n<li><span>Interest in communications, public safety, or community work</span></li>\n<li><span>Familiarity with Tsuut’ina Nation or Indigenous communities</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span>This is a summer student position.
