This position supervises staff and coordinates with other supervisors to ensure the operation and maintenance of their assigned wastewater treatment plant. This position works in a team based industrial environment with a mission of protecting the environment, serving our customers, and enhancing our communities.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essiential Functions: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinates, monitors, and assigns staff in the daily operations to ensure compliance with state regulations.</li>\n <li>Analyzes daily and weekly data and provides status reports of operations and maintenance for superintendent review.</li>\n <li>Makes purchases of supplies and equipment for continuance of plant operations.</li>\n <li>Coordinates schedules to ensure staffing levels are maintained to provide continuation of plant operations and compliance with state regulations.</li>\n <li>Arranges staff schedules to provide for staff development in operation, mechanical and technical areas.</li>\n <li>Monitors staff performance and provides coaching and feedback for staff improvement.</li>\n <li>Coordinates and leads tours for interested public which includes and is not limited to students and adults for educational purposes.</li>\n <li>Assists customers and general public by providing information regarding general operation of facility.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Job Requirements</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirments: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A high school diploma or equivalent </li>\n <li>five years of experience in mechanical, maintenance, or relevant industrial or field based work required.  </li>\n <li>One year of experience leading, directing, coordinating, or supervising the work of others </li>\n <li>one year of experience in the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment or collection system is preferred. </li>\n <li>Education can substitute for experience.</li>\n <li>Preference given to experience in a water or wastewater environment. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong><u></u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates degree in Environmental Sciences or related field </li>\n <li>Class IV KDHE Wastewater Operators License.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions:</u></strong></p>\n<p>This safety sensitive position involves the following:  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>lifting of 50 pounds</li>\n <li>exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, chemicals, heights, loud noises, and sewage.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
