In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of routing including developing and implementing safe and cost-effective routing solutions and, working with our school district partners for review and approval of routes, updates and changes. You will also be willing and prepared to drive a school bus route as needed as a substitute for delivering students to and from school and also for testing and evaluating proposed bus routes.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Specific Duties:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Manage the computerized routing, including but not limited to creating/updating/deleting routes ensuring that all students are assigned as needed to transportation.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Conduct continuous analysis of route, vehicle and driver assignments for possible consolidation and improvements.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Analyze transportation requests and current routes to utilize the existing fleet without compromising student instructional time or safety.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Assist with planning and implementing routing, vehicle scheduling, and resource allocation in accordance with established policies and objectives to optimize economical utilization of assets</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Collaborate with the school district to implement and comply with school district transportation guidelines, procedures and/or policies.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Communicate routing information to parents, school district officials, drivers, monitors and office staff.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Ensure, maintain and practice a high level of confidentiality in all matters.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Maintain files with information regarding pickup/drop off times, addresses, phone numbers, and student special transportation requirements.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Ensure that all route turn by turn directions are accurate and up to date, with accurate stop descriptions.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Observe and track route timing, such as total time en-route; time between stops; loading and unloading times or any other requested information for the purpose of establishing route efficiency, using GPS technology and/or ride along evaluations.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Keep accurate records and submit reports as required.
