    "description": "<h2>Role Overview</h2>\n<p><em><strong>We are a growing company, expanding our livestock team, looking to fill positions for our Rio & Poynette, WI locations with starting pay at $21/hr.</strong></em> The typical work schedule includes: working from 5:30AM to 2:00PM, Monday through Friday and every 5th weekend. This position may be located in Poynette, WI or in Rio, WI. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsibilities include providing excellent care and maintenance of our bull and mount population, which includes feeding, semen collection production, health testing, assisting with bull movements, keeping the bulls comfortable and dry, hoof trimming, grooming and assisting with the treatment of bulls as directed by our Veterinary staff. Providing maintenance, cleaning, upkeep and security of the facilities is another key responsibility. Being a positive team member within the livestock staff. Maintaining professional verbal and written communications with co-workers, internal and external customers, and vendors at all times. </p>\n<h2>You Will</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>To consistently maintain bull health and hygiene standards for bulls at the Rio & Poynette, WI facilities. To include:</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <ul>\n  <li>Assist with feeding, bedding and hygiene on a daily basis.</li>\n  <li>Assist with grooming, washing and hoof trimming of bulls.</li>\n  <li>Assist with picture taking.</li>\n  <li>Assist with manure removal.</li>\n  <li>Assist with and take the lead in transporting bulls.</li>\n  <li>Monitor bull health for injury and illness and report to Veterinary department and Supervisor or Manager of department.</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>To assist with collection of semen in accordance with quality standards and company safety policies. To Include:</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <ul>\n  <li>Adhere to all quality control measures relevant to the health, safety and hygiene of employees and bulls.</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>To provide maintenance and upkeep of ABS facilities consistent with our quality image and to ensure employee and bull safety. To include:</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Maintaining barn in proper working condition and appearance for tours and health of bulls.</li>\n   <li>Assist with maintaining equipment in workable and safe conditions at all times.</li>\n   <li>Observe and promote all safety rules.</li>\n   <li>Assist with lawn mowing and snow removal as needed for image and safety.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>To ensure the image and service orientation of the department and ABS remains professional at all times. To ensure the philosophy of effective teamwork is maintained in the Livestock department.  To Include:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Maintain professional verbal and written communications with co-workers, internal and external customers, and vendors at all times.</li>\n   <li>Be flexible with respect to job responsibilities and consistently strive to be an effective team member.</li>\n   <li>Display willingness to perform non-routine tasks as needed to ensure overall productivity is high.</li>\n   <li>Develop new skills and assume greater responsibility within the department and organization.</li>\n   <li>Learn to handle and collect problem bulls with proper collection techniques.</li>\n   <li>Learn hoof care program and techniques.</li>\n   <li>Strive to advance your skills and display a willingness to accept future development.</li>\n   <li>Actively participate in ABS training opportunities to further develop knowledge and skills applicable to the department (ie. Rep. School).</li>\n   <li>Learn all computer programs for production, safety, training and communication.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<h2><strong>Education and Experience (Required)</strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>2 years or more hands on cattle handling experience</li>\n <li>Knowledge of and skills in farming operations</li>\n <li>Effective interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Display solid performance standards, be reliable and dependable</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively and positively within a team environment</li>\n <li>Poses a valid driver’s license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications (Preferred)</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Skid Steer Operation experience </li>\n <li>Tractor and Manure Spreader Operation experience </li>\n <li>Zero Turn lawn mower Operation experience </li>\n <li>Mechanical knowledge and maintenance skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h2> </h2>\n<h2>Business Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Genus</strong> is an agricultural biotechnology pioneer.
