We are looking for people to join our team and be part of an organization that values being community focused, providing customer service excellence, working with integrity, having fun, and fostering belonging!</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"> </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">We have an exciting <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">full-time</span> job opportunity as <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">FACILITIES SPECIALIST II! </span>Our Facilities Specialist team plays an important role in maintaining safe and clean District facilities! </span></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT YOU’LL DO: </span>As Facilities Specialist II, you'll maintain, repair, renovate and construct parks, buildings, and facilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Manage, update, and maintain departmental software application.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Operate District vehicles safely.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Identify and notify supervisor of hazardous/suspicious activities and damage in the parks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Provide snow and ice removal from parking lots, sidewalks, and pathways.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Perform maintenance, painting, carpentry and general repairs to District buildings and pools.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Maintain park, playground and facility cleanliness as assigned.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Assist with opening and shut down of pools, and the Hub sprayground, mini golf, and batting cages.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Perform basic electrical repairs, replace fixtures, and change lights, switches and receptacles. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Perform basic plumbing repairs on faucets, toilets &amp; urinals. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Perform general site inspections, complete repairs and generate work orders if necessary.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Inspect, maintain and repair play area components.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Perform District audits on new playground and update audit forms as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Perform District 205 low frequency playground inspections.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Maintain condition, security and use of tools, materials and equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Maintain play area supply inventory.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT YOU’LL BRING:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">High school or trade school diploma or equivalent with 2 years experience in facility maintenance</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Valid Illinois Class C Driver’s License</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Must have Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CSPI) or ability to obtain CPSI certification within 12 months of employment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Knowledge of facility maintenance practices and understanding of building trades</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Ability to operate a variety of power tools and heavy equipment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Knowledge of OSHA requirements</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">  </span><br><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHEN YOU’LL WORK: </span>Monday-Friday from 6:30am to 3:00pm (40-hours/week).
