    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Role Summary:</span></p>\n<p>We are seeking a skilled <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Data Replication Engineer</span> experienced in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Stelo/StarQuest’s Data Replication </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">tools (SQDR &amp; SQDR Plus)</span>. The role focuses on designing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing replication pipelines across diverse source and target systems including DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, and cloud data platforms.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Install, configure, and manage <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SQDR and SQDR Plus</span> environments, including intermediate hosts and control databases.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Implement and monitor <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Change Data Capture (CDC)</span> using native log APIs or ODBC, depending on source system.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Design and execute replication topologies: one-to-one, hub-and-spoke, or fan-out.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Configure and maintain replication jobs, agents, services, and web consoles.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Ensure replication resilience through <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">failover and load balancing</span> configurations.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Troubleshoot replication errors, log miner failures, ODBC/API connectivity, and performance</p>\n<p>bottlenecks.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Tune performance by optimizing parallel jobs, core allocations, memory, and thread usage.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Collaborate with DBAs and infrastructure teams for <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">archive log settings</span>, DB triggers, and schema</p>\n<p>changes.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Define and enforce <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SLA thresholds</span>, alerts, and monitoring dashboards.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Maintain <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">security posture</span> of replication systems (role-based access, logging, auditing).</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Document replication architecture, recovery procedures, and client-specific playbooks.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Participate in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">disaster recovery</span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">high availability</span> validation testing.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>3+ years experience in data replication or integration engineering roles.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Certification in relevant database technologies or data integration tools is a plus.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Skills:</span></p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Experience with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Stelo/StarQuest SQDR &amp; SQDR Plus</span>, including installation, architecture, and</p>\n<p>management.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Strong understanding of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CDC concepts</span>, including transaction log mining and archive log management.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Knowledge of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">source databases</span>: DB2 LUW/zOS, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Familiarity with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ODBC/JDBC connectivity</span>, native APIs (e.g., Oracle LogMiner, DB2 capture agents).</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Linux and Windows server administration skills.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Experience with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">cloud data platforms</span> (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS RDS) a plus.</p>\n<p><span>•</span><br>Scripting experience (Shell, PowerShell, Python) for automation and alerts is advantageous.</p>",
