    "description_html": "<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>The Swim Lessons Coordinator will provide instruction to the students enrolled in swim lessons and will oversee scheduling and staffing for swim lessons.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><ol><li>Guarantee the safety and well-being of aquatic participants by being alert and aware of potential danger areas.</li><li>At all times, enforce prescribed safety procedures and rules of good behavior and courtesy to ensure a safe and pleasant pool environment for participants.&nbsp;</li><li>Greet and give directions to all pool participants in a warm and friendly manner.</li><li>Instruct swim lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines including having prepared lesson plans.</li><li>Build effective, authentic relationships with students enrolled in swim lessons as well as their parents.</li><li>Conveys correct information on aquatics programs and schedules and refers students and parents to other programs.</li><li>Maintains class records (i.e. attendance, progress reports, schedules, etc.)</li><li>Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.</li><li>Schedule and manage swim lessons for all students.</li><li>&nbsp;&nbsp;Know and follow all YMCA policies and procedures including those for emergencies and accidents.</li><li>&nbsp;&nbsp;Help Train new Swim Lesson Instructors.</li><li>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Keep pool area neat by keeping all pool equipment out of the path of traffic, and immediately reporting to maintenance any unclean or hazardous area.&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Accept and complete other duties that may be assigned as needed.</li></ol><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>YMCA Competencies (Leader):</strong></p><p><u>Mission Advancement:</u> Accepts and demonstrates the Y’s values.
