    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p style='margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;text-align:justify;' id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Job Summary:</u></strong></p><p style='margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;text-align:justify;'>This position reports to the District Manager within the scope of the mission, guiding principles, values, ethics and strategic goals of Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa, Inc. &nbsp;This position oversees retail store activities through the direct supervision of the Assistant Manager, Sales Associates, Utility Workers, and Team Leads. &nbsp; The Store Manager is responsible for the smooth flow of donated goods from collection to sales including but not limited to receiving, production, security, safety, loss prevention, inventory control, merchandising and sales transactions. &nbsp;Provides vision, leadership, direction, and supervision to staff. This position may also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of other facilities and/or departments such as ADCs, E-Merchandise, warehouse staff, etc.</p><p style='margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;text-align:justify;'>&nbsp;</p><p style='margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;text-align:justify;'><strong><u>&nbsp;Duties and Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><p style='margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;text-align:justify;'><strong><u>(Essential functions of the position are listed in bold print.)</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li><strong>Direct supervision of Assistant Managers, Sales Associates, Utility Workers, and Team Leads.</strong></li><li><strong>Delegates assignments to staff under the direction of the District Manager and keeps them informed of changes in policy and trends. &nbsp; Directs, coaches and guides them in their work in order to help them attain individual growth and store goals.</strong></li><li><strong>Demonstrates leadership by holding all team members accountable for established best practices and standard operating procedures.</strong></li><li><strong>Provides comprehensive training of job duties, policies and procedures, ethical codes of conduct, corporate compliance, etc</strong>.</li><li>Evaluates performance and takes corrective action when necessary.</li><li><strong>Ensures store equity and compliance with all federal, state and local regulations; safety, security, and quality standards/codes, and agency policy. &nbsp;Assists team members in understanding and complying with CARF standards.</strong></li><li><strong>Oversees/monitors the quality and quantity of merchandise and production output is adequate to meet sales goals.&nbsp;</strong> Ensures the highest level of customer service to reduce customer complaints and problems.</li><li>Ensures that proper volume of new goods merchandise is available on sales floor.</li><li><strong>Contributes to E-Merchandise inventory so that revenue goals are met.</strong></li><li><strong>Handles cash register processes, money handling, paperwork, and deposits.</strong></li><li>Provides tools, resources, and guidance to team to ensure store runs smoothly and efficiently.</li><li><strong>Maintains top-flight condition and appearance of retail store focusing on housekeeping and safety at all times. &nbsp;Communicates needs for repair, fixtures, maintenance, etc.</strong></li><li><strong>Sets vision for store in execution of merchandising, store presentation, inventory, and customer service relations. &nbsp;Analyzes sales and trends to maximize income opportunities.&nbsp;</strong></li><li>Ensures that all store documentation including daily/weekly sales, staff, schedules, EAPs, production statistical data, etc. is completed in an accurate and timely manner.</li><li>Reviews applications for vacant positions, conducts interviews, and make hiring decisions.</li><li>Positively represents store and community to internal audiences. &nbsp;Positively represents store and agency to external audiences.</li><li><strong>Works collaboratively within department to maximize service opportunities and maintain a continuous improvement agenda.</strong></li><li><strong>Reviews and analyzes the store sales, average transaction amount, departmental allocation, etc. in order to establish performance standards, detect trends, and determine proper course of action.</strong></li><li>Works with supervisor and direct reports to promote retail activities and develop and implement strategies resulting in increased revenues.</li><li><strong>Is available during nontraditional hours including some weekend, holidays and evening periods.</strong></li><li><strong>Serves as an emergency contact for agency locations in need of support outside regular business hours.</strong></li><li><strong>Covers areas outside of home base retail store which may include traveling to other retail locations.&nbsp;</strong></li><li><strong>Examines and analyzes expenses, production, and sales to achieve maximum E/R based on strategic goals and operating plans. &nbsp; This includes maintaining sales, donations, and production benchmarks. &nbsp;Makes recommendations to the District Manager to increase efficiency, increase revenue, and lower expense.</strong></li><li>Ensures good customer service, quality merchandise, competitive prices, and a donating/shopping experience that meets agency expectations. &nbsp;Maintains systems to measure these activities on a regular basis.</li><li><strong>Analyzes monthly production, sales and donor reports to identify store weaknesses and develops strategies to correct them.</strong></li><li><strong>Operates forklift truck.</strong></li><li>Completes all duties of the job and all work requirements.</li><li>Models Goodwill&rsquo;s core values, IMPACT.
