    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Primary Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p>Leads safe and efficient purchasing and storeroom operations by managing team performance, procurement, inventory, and supplier relationships to ensure a safe workplace and uninterrupted site-wide supply chain execution.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Team Leadership &amp; Development – Supervise daily purchasing and storeroom operations, manage team schedules, and provide ongoing training and professional development to drive performance and growth.</li>\n<li>Procurement &amp; Supplier Management – Source materials, equipment, and services to meet specifications and delivery requirements at the lowest delivered cost; lead supplier selection, performance evaluation, and relationship development; negotiate pricing, contracts, and freight terms.</li>\n<li>Inventory &amp; Asset Control – Ensure accurate inventory management, oversee MRO contract services, and utilize advanced Maximo functions including VMI, asset repairs, and mobile equipment tracking to maintain efficient material flow.</li>\n<li>Corporate Initiatives &amp; Issue Resolution – Serve as the site point of contact for all corporate supply chain initiatives, drive change management, resolve blocked invoices and supplier performance issues, and deliver detailed analysis to internal customers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Job Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><em>Required:</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n<li>5+ years of purchasing experience buying electrical, mechanical, and construction materials in a<br>construction or manufacturing environment </li>\n<li>Understanding of commonly used business concepts, practices, and procedures</li>\n<li>Maximo or a related ERP system</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>Preferred:</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience as a buyer or planner in a high-volume manufacturing environment</li>\n<li>Experience as a buyer in the wood products or construction industry</li>\n<li>College degree preferred or consideration of 5+ years of purchasing experience in lieu of a degree</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Behavioral Profile</span></p>\n<p>Behavioral skills are critical for determining success in a career.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>A proactive and positive approach to the safety of him/herself and others</li>\n<li>A willingness to grow and commitment to continuous improvement</li>\n<li>Assertiveness in communication to positively influence others</li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills</li>\n<li>The highest standard for personal and professional ethics</li>\n<li>Prioritization skills and ability to multitask</li>\n<li>Display leadership skills and qualities<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Benefits</span><br>Some of the benefits our team members enjoy include the following:<br>•    Healthcare-  Legacy Health &amp; Wellness and Legacy Pharmacy<br>•    Wellness Program<br>•    Flexible Spending Account<br>•    Additional Insurance<br>•    Paid Time Off<br>•    Retirement<br>•    Chaplaincy Services<br>•    Education<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">About RoyOMartin</span><br>At RoyOMartin, people are our number-one asset.
