The data team is the backbone of our business and works hand-in-hand with Customer Success, Product, and Technology to deliver the highest-quality data to our clients. We are an AI-forward team. Every analyst uses AI assistants and internal automations as part of their daily workflow to scale data quality, accelerate turnaround, and remove manual tasks.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This role is dedicated to supporting our growing US client base, and works on a US-aligned shift pattern of 14:00 to 22:00 Cape Town time. You will alternate this shift on a rotating cadence (3 days / 2 days, swapping the following week). During your shift you will join our Client Queries squad alongside owning your data work, monitoring the support inbox, triaging incoming tickets, responding to clients, and resolving issues within your area of expertise.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>You will lead the final data sign-off stage for new funds, mentor junior analysts, and apply AI-assisted workflows to scale data quality without compromising accuracy.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Primary Job Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work a US-aligned shift of 14:00 to 22:00 Cape Town time on a rotating cadence (3 days / 2 days, swapping each week) to support our US client base</li>\n<li>Join the Client Queries squad during your shift, monitoring the support inbox, triaging incoming tickets, responding to clients, and resolving queries within your area of expertise</li>\n<li>Determine, monitor, and report on the quality of client private markets data</li>\n<li>Ensure data is delivered in a consistent format and aligned with onboarding arrangements</li>\n<li>Own the final data sign-off stage for new funds before they go live to clients</li>\n<li>Use AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) and internal automations as core daily tools, applying them to capital activity processing, fund document extraction, validation, drafting, and accelerating Excel-heavy work</li>\n<li>Mentor and train junior analysts, including reviewing their outputs, supporting career development, and coaching them on effective use of AI tooling</li>\n<li>Coordinate with Customer Success on shared issues between client delivery and data operations</li>\n<li>Liaise with internal Data, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure client deadlines and needs are met</li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to expand AI-augmented workflows across extraction, classification, and validation, and partner with Engineering to implement them</li>\n<li>Contribute to broader initiatives across the company and partner with international colleagues on next-generation data systems for private markets</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills and Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Willingness and availability to work a 14:00 to 22:00 Cape Town shift on a rotating cadence (3 days / 2 days alternating every other week)</li>\n<li>3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working with private markets data, ideally including time as a Private Equity Fund Accountant or in a Fund Operations role at a fund administrator or GP</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of capital calls, distributions, NAV statements, and LP reporting cycles</li>\n<li>Daily working fluency with AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot), with comfort using them to parse fund documents, draft validation logic, accelerate Excel work, and handle non-standard queries</li>\n<li>Confident client-facing communicator; can engage directly with US institutional clients in writing and on calls during shift hours</li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills</li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail, with advanced Excel proficiency</li>\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when needed</li>\n<li>Structured, organised, and meticulous, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines</li>\n<li>Undergraduate degree (BCom or equivalent) specialising in Investment Management, Accounting, Business Management, or Finance</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professional qualification (CA, CFA, CAIA, or equivalent in fund accounting or investment management)</li>\n<li>Prior experience mentoring or leading junior analysts</li>\n<li>Prior client-facing or support-desk experience working with US institutional clients</li>\n<li>Experience designing or improving AI-augmented data workflows, including prompt design or automation builds (Python, SQL)</li>\n<li>Familiarity with venture capital, real estate, or private debt fund reporting</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professional development budget (e.g. CFA, CAIA)</li>\n<li>Private medical cover</li>\n<li>Pension plan contributions</li>\n<li>Flexible working with regular team socials and events</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Allocator is committed to continuing to make diversity, equity, and inclusion part of everything we do, from how we build our products to how we build our workforce.</p>",
