    "description": "<p><em>Crimson Design Group is an award-winning design firm based in Columbus, Ohio.  With expertise spanning across residential, commercial and multi-family/Senior Living domains, we bring visions to life with precision and flair.   We are excited to announce we are looking for an Interior Designer to join our team!</em> </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CDG Core Values:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>The Interior Designer must be passionate about our culture and must strive to ensure that all messaging reflects our culture and our core values:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Excellence: </span>Takes initiative, dedication, can-do attitude, sense of urgency.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Crimson Spirit: </span>Contributes, values everyone, team player.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Life Lived Well:  </span>Fun, optimistic, no drama, servant heart.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Growth Mindset: </span>Ownership thinking, innovative, curious.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Overview</span></p>\n<p>We require this person to be excited and eager to support our team of senior residential and commercial designers in an energetic and fast-paced design firm.</p>\n<p>The interior designer is responsible for providing direct support to the design team.  This involves direct interaction and interfacing with our client base, so the ideal candidate is comfortable speaking and interacting with clients.</p>\n<p>Crimson Design Group offers a flex schedule of in office Monday-Thursday and the option to work from home on Fridays (after your first 90 days).</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities and duties:</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist Design Principal to design, develop and execute client projects from conception to completion.</li>\n<li>Communicate with clients, vendors, and contractors and assist in the mangement of construction administration.</li>\n<li>Strong drafting skill set, with the ability to create a full set of floor plans, elevations and details in AutoCAD.</li>\n<li>Create 3D Models using Sketch Up.</li>\n<li>Proficient in photoshop and other rendering programs to create rendered 2D elevations for client presentations.</li>\n<li>Research, source and obtain quotes for furnishings, fabrics, fixtures and other materials.</li>\n<li>Assist with material samples and reselection process.</li>\n<li>Assist with proposals for clients in Studio Designer.</li>\n<li>Create and maintain client design binders, and End of Project documentation.</li>\n<li>Help with presentation set up.</li>\n<li>Selection sheet support.</li>\n<li>Sample ordering.</li>\n<li>Coordination of pre-install tasks, including, but not limited to, installation kit prep, accessory selection, accessory packing, retail shopping, transport, and pressing of soft goods.</li>\n<li>Participate in client installations.</li>\n<li>Vendor relations, sample requests, educational meetings, and point of contact for new vendors relations.</li>\n<li>Assist with other misc. design-related duties and needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Academic and trade qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professional Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited school.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of the furniture manufacturing industry and/or purchasing experience a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work experience and skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">two </span>(2) years of experience as a designer at an interior design firm.</li>\n<li>Commercial experience is REQUIRED.</li>\n<li>AutoCAD experience is REQUIRED, Revit a plus.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suites (e.g. InDesign &amp; Photoshop - required).</li>\n<li>MS Office Skills: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proficient in Excel.</li>\n<li>Ability to create space plans and room layouts.</li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills with the ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities.</li>\n<li>Time management skills and ability to handle change in a fast-paced environment. </li>\n<li>Detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills.</li>\n<li>Resourceful and have strong retention and recall abilities.</li>\n<li>Strong relationship skills.</li>\n<li>Driver’s license and transportation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work in a seated environment for up to 8 hours a day. </li>\n<li>Ability to work on a computer for up to 8 hours a day. </li>\n<li>Ability to use the phone for extended periods of time. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Crimson Design Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse workforce.
