    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><strong>Marine Insulator/Lagger</strong></p><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\">Mills Marine and Ship Repair, LLC (Mills Marine) is currently seeking an individual to support Touch Labor at Huntington Ingalls Shipyard (HII).&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Clearance Requirement:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Huntington Ingalls Access Requirements&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Functions and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\">1.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Remove/Install high temperature and anti-sweat foam plastic, acoustical insulation, finishing cement, calcium silicate, molded sectional, fiberglass cloth.</p><p>2.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Remove/Install portable insulation pads associated with the U.S. Naval Surface Ship and Submarine platforms in accordance with the requirements of NAVSEA Standard Item 009-11.</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Education:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Marine Insulator / Lagger position requires a minimum of a high school diploma and/or successful completion of a related trade or industrial school.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Experience:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Marine insulator/Lagger requires a minimum of four (4) years of verifiable experience in the assigned trade in an industrial environment i.e., shipbuilding, ship repair or nuclear power plants, which shall include a minimum of two (2) years work experience on U.S. Navy ships/vessels.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Trade Training:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Completed a formal course of study in the assigned trade through either a community college, technical or trade school, military training, formal company training program or an apprentice program.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Trade Specific Technical Standard</p><p>MIL-STD-769&nbsp;</p><p>NAVSEA Standard Item 009-11</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Trade Skills:</strong></p><ol><li>Shall possess knowledge of the different types of insulation and lagging materials for the proper applications in accordance with applicable professional/trade standards and practices in a Shipyard or Marine Industrial written instruction.</li><li>Shall possess knowledge of securing methods like wiring, pasting, and strapping.</li><li>Shall possess knowledge of cutting, shaping irregular bends for pipe, fittings, valve, and other equipment.</li><li>Shall be trained to meet environmental requirements to acquire, apply, remove, and dispose of installation waste or residuals in accordance with OSHA requirements.</li><li>Shall be trained in the typical trade related tools and instruments</li><li>Shall be trained and experienced in working with schematics and technical drawings.</li></ol><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><em>This position description represents a summary of the major components and requirements of the outlined job.
