    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist is responsible for performing MRI's, and assisting physicians as required in the selection of practical applications and protocols.</p><p><strong>Job Relationships</strong><br/>Reports to the Advanced Imaging Operations Manager</p><p><strong>Principal Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Must be certified MRI technologist or willing to sign an agreement to attend formal classes, obtain clinical experience and pass MRI certifying examination.</li><li>Produce quality MRI scans and be able to anticipate when additional imaging may be needed.</li><li>Good knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.</li><li>Know the capabilities of the computer/scanner.</li><li>Identify pathology and provide radiologist with additional images as needed to provide all relevant information.</li><li>Operate dry laser printer.</li><li>Prepare MRI for radiologist to read.</li><li>Obtain outside previous or comparison exams.</li><li>Familiar with pressure injector and contract agent doses.</li><li>Familiar with quench policy procedure.</li><li>Familiar with contract material and possible reactions.</li><li>Obtain complete patient history.</li><li>Keep log of all patients.</li><li>Familiar with all aspects of magnetic safety.</li><li>Help out in the main department when time allows.</li><li>Must be able to adapt to flexible working hours.</li><li>Use of computers and telephone required.</li><li>Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.</li><li>Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training &amp; accomplishments as required per policy.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service and adhere to SC Way customer service philosophy.</li><li>Perform other job duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Education/Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Must be a graduate of an approved A.C.R school.</li></ul><p><strong>Licenses/Certificates</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:9.0pt;\">Must be registered and in good standing in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in magnetic resonance.&nbsp;</span></li><li>CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines required within 30 days of hire.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</strong></p><ul><li>Must be proficient in venipuncture.</li><li>Must maintain professional behavior.</li><li>Must be able to adjust to various personalities and situations.</li><li>Must have the ability to control emotions and maintain composure under stress, using tact and good judgment.</li><li>Must possess manual dexterity to use keyboard and handle equipment and appliances.</li><li>Must be capable of pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, lifting and twisting.</li><li>Must be able to work with arms above head.</li><li>Must be able to wear lead apron for long periods of time.</li><li>Must be able to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.</li><li>Must be able to assist patient to and from MRI unit.</li></ul><p><strong>Working Environment</strong></p><ul><li>Will be exposed to fumes from cleaning agents or x-ray film processor chemicals, in limited areas.</li><li>Will be exposed to conditions including exposure to blood and bodily fluids, tissue, contagious diseases and/or potentially hazardous materials.</li><li>Occasional heavy lifting required.</li></ul><p><strong>PHI/Privacy Level</strong><br/>HIPAA2</p>",
