We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you’d work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You may also be asked to take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks. Some of the key responsibilities may include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan;</li>\n <li>Management and mentoring of senior, mid-career and early-career staff and managing subcontractors;</li>\n <li>Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to repeat business;</li>\n <li>Managing the overall delivery of multiple projects within the scope / budget / schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables;</li>\n <li>Geotechnical or Geostructural engineering design & analyses;</li>\n <li>Geotechnical and environmental site characterization;</li>\n <li>Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;</li>\n <li>Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and</li>\n <li>Fieldwork associated with design and construction services.</li>\n <li>Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical or structural engineering or a related field of study (required) </li>\n <li>Advanced degree in a related field of study (preferred)</li>\n <li>Professional registration (i.e., P.E.). (required)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 10 years (15+ desirable) of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) </li>\n <li>An extensive track record of business development, client management, and leading proposal preparation. (required)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software and numerical modeling tools. (required) </li>\n <li>Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required) </li>\n <li>Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Fieldwork and overnight travel may be required.</li>\n <li>Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.</li>\n <li>Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees.
