Discover how your skills and dedication can make a real difference to us.</p>\n<h2>About this Role</h2>\n<p>NorthStar Energy Services is seeking an experienced<strong> Electrical Engineer</strong> to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team. This role supports the design and execution of electrical systems for energy, petrochemical, and industrial facilities. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing electrical design concepts, performing advanced engineering analyses, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements across the full project lifecycle.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position works closely with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams and plays a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and constructible electrical designs for complex energy facilities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Location: The Galleria</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<p><strong>Engineering & Design</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform advanced electrical engineering analysis and system studies including arc flash, short circuit, relay coordination, motor starting, voltage drop, and load flow using ETAP or equivalent tools.</li>\n <li>Develop electrical system designs including one-line diagrams, motor control schematics, conduit and cable schedules, grounding systems, and point-to-point wiring diagrams.</li>\n <li>Size and specify electrical power distribution, control equipment, and protection systems in accordance with project requirements.</li>\n <li>Support specialized electrical design activities such as area classification studies, overhead distribution, conduit design (above- and below-grade), and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) integration.</li>\n <li>Review process and mechanical documents (PFDs, P&IDs, PPFDs) to ensure electrical designs align with overall facility requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Deliverable & Project Support</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform QA/QC reviews of electrical drawings, calculations, and technical documents to ensure compliance with company standards, industry codes, and safety-first design practices.</li>\n <li>Coordinate electrical deliverables with engineers, designers, and project team members across all disciplines.</li>\n <li>Review and integrate company standards, municipal requirements, and regulatory codes into project designs.</li>\n <li>Review third-party vendor drawings and technical submittals to confirm compatibility with intended electrical design.</li>\n <li>Support project execution through field site assessments, RFI responses, and development of electrical design basis documentation.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering</li>\n <li>5+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting midstream energy, petrochemical, or industrial facilities</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required, preferably in the State of Texas</li>\n <li>Advanced experience with ETAP, SKM, or equivalent electrical analysis software</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, or equivalent tools</li>\n <li>Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel</li>\n <li>Proven experience applying industry codes and standards including:</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li>NFPA 70 (NEC), NESC</li>\n   <li>IEEE, NEMA, IES, UL</li>\n   <li>API RP 500, AGA XL101</li>\n   <li>Title 49 CFR Parts 190–199</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Get</h2>\n<p>As a Quanta Services employee, we offer a wide range of benefits to fit your needs.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k) with immediate matching and vesting</li>\n <li>Fully comprehensive benefits packages; Medical, Dental, Vision\n  <ul>\n   <li>Your choice of PPO, HSA, FSA</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Short term and long term benefits</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>\n<p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
