JOB SUMMARY Reports to the Director of Regional Sales as it pertains to the day-to-day sales, merchandising, new business development, new product introductions of Pero Family Farms Vegetable Products. The Regional Sales Manager is also responsible for account retention and other sales and marketing strategies throughout the assigned market territories. This position includes but is not limited to day-to-day activities that are focused upon developing new customers and maintaining existing relationships as well as, extending opportunities with existing customers. This position oversees and is accountable for the business development and sales operation in the assigned regions that may be required from time-to-time depending on sales opportunities and how the VP National Sales and/or the "Sales Advisory Board" may direct your efforts ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, and managing operating costs and shrinkage. This position is also responsible for selecting, managing, directing and evaluating any distributors, merchandising agencies, and/or companies that Pero has working in the assigned region(s) in collaboration with the sales and marketing organization at PERO, with special emphasis on retail merchandising programs. Also, this position is responsible for building revenue, through collaboratively developing and implementing market strategies, and through the preparation of proposals, including creative, innovative, novel, and unique concepts and approaches.
