The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting status/progress. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop Java microservices using Java 17, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST, and gRPC</li>\n <li>Build scalable AWS based services using SQS, SNS, Lambda, SWF/Step Functions, and cloud native architecture</li>\n <li>Participate in architecture and design reviews, multimodule planning, and solution development</li>\n <li>Conduct research, prototypes, and feasibility analyses for new features and modernization initiatives</li>\n <li>Develop and optimize PostgreSQL-backed data services and schemas</li>\n <li>Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Maven, Git, and GitLab</li>\n <li>Containerize and deploy applications using EKS with Docker and Kubernetes</li>\n <li>Write unit, integration, and system tests using JUnit 5; support release and beta testing cycles</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and integration issues across the full stack</li>\n <li>Collaborate with architects, PMs, and customers for requirements, demos, installations, and solution alignment</li>\n <li>Document APIs, architecture diagrams, deployment processes, and runbooks</li>\n <li>Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to team members</li>\n <li>Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree</li>\n <li>8+ years of experience</li>\n <li>Experience as a System Engineer</li>\n <li>At least 4+ years working with AWS cloud solutions or C#, Java, or Python</li>\n <li>3+ years of development experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Hibernate</li>\n <li>Experience with containerization technologies: EKS with Docker, Kubernetes</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience with AWS services and messaging technologies (SQS, SNS)</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of microservices architecture and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)</li>\n <li>Proficiency with JUnit (JUnit 5 preferred) and automated testing</li>\n <li>Experience working in Agile or SAFe development environments</li>\n <li>Comfortable working directly with customers for requirements, demos, beta support, and installation coordination</li>\n <li>Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written</li>\n <li>Must be able to work independently, with minimal oversight.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Maven, Git, GitLab, Jira</li>\n <li>Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with gRPC</li>\n <li>Experience with AWS services such as SWF/Step Functions and Lambda</li>\n <li>Background in PostgreSQL schema design and performance tuning</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Python or ReactJS for internal tools or integrations</li>\n <li>Experience supporting beta programs or mission critical systems</li>\n <li>Prior technical lead experience or participation in architecture sessions</li>\n <li>Exposure to largescale data processing, analytics, or high-volume environments</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Certification: Current SAFe Agile Software Engineer (ASE) Certification </strong> </p>\n<h2>About Us</h2>\n<p><em>Soft Tech Consulting, Inc. is a woman and minority-owned business headquartered in Chantilly, VA.
