This role requires strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform diagnostic tests on garbage trucks and other diesel-powered equipment to identify issues</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations</li><li>Repair or replace defective parts in engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and braking systems</li><li>Use hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment to perform repairs</li><li>Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of all services and repairs performed</li><li>Ensure all vehicles are compliant with DOT regulations, including brake maintenance and inspections</li><li>Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times</li></ul><p><strong>What We&rsquo;re Looking For:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in the waste management industry</li><li>ASE Certification preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems</li><li>Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Shifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available)</li></ul><p>#CoastalWasteCareers</p></div></div></div>\n",
