    "description": "<h2>About Us</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p>We are an electrical construction firm specializing in commercial electrical and telecommunication infrastructure design, structured cabling installation and maintenance, electrical power distribution systems, data transmission systems, and distributed antenna systems (DAS).</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>Gibson Electric Co. seeks a Senior Project Manager who will manage and/or estimate medium-sized to large electrical construction projects independently while developing business opportunities from existing and/or potential clients.  The Senior Project Manager will participate in the development of APMs and PMs through on the job training and mentorship. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor and control contractual requirements of assigned projects ensuring that key field and support staff positions are adequate and perform in accordance with required assignments and deadlines.</li>\n <li>Monitor and control financial aspects of project contracts including materials purchasing, Change Order initiation and implementation, cost to complete analysis, income and expenses, labor, etc. to ensure projects remain within established budget.</li>\n <li>Ensure that project materials, equipment, and tools are ordered and delivered timely.</li>\n <li>Partner with client, architectural, engineering, other departments, and trades to facilitate critical path and project completion.</li>\n <li>Prepare complete new project estimate packages for small to medium jobs under supervision of preconstruction or senior project managers.</li>\n <li>Develop, monitor, and control project objectives, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of Company policy.</li>\n <li>Prepare and present work in progress reports monthly or as required by senior management.</li>\n <li>Represent company in assigned project meetings.</li>\n <li>Ensure site personnel comply with all safety plans and programs and work rules as required by company policy and contract.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h4><strong>Job Specifications </strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Four-year engineering or construction management degree or the equivalent combined education and field supervisory experience.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of construction contract language.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of electrical design, estimate packages, and implementation.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.</li>\n <li>Thorough understanding and application of industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities.</li>\n <li>Ability to thoroughly understand and apply company policies, procedures, business ethics, and work standards.</li>\n <li>Superior communications and interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of CONEST estimating software or ability to learn.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Vista Viewpoint software or ability to learn</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Bluebeam PDF software or ability to learn</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications</li>\n <li>Working knowledge or the ability to learn Outlook electronic mail</li>\n <li>Ability to work with minimal supervision and perform against accelerated deadlines.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<h4><strong>Accountability and Measurement </strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Partner with field Superintendents to ensure that personnel perform as required.</li>\n <li>Revenue and Profit Goals as identified by Executive Vice President & COO of Operations</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#gibson </p>\n<p>#LI -KJ2</p>\n<p>#LI-On-site</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
