    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Responsibilities&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong><br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrate expertise in airbag module development and testing – “best practice” designs, legal validation requirements, North American customer standards, current industry trends, and our competitors’ technology.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Lead the design, validation, and release of airbag systems using the YF product development process.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensures documents, processes and procedures are managed and maintained using all YFSS standards and systems (YFiOS, PMP, Lean, CPP, CMP, EPIC, BEP, etc.)<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Understand the YF customers’ engineering organization and build relationships with the key engineering and technology “decision makers”.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Inform customer engineering and YF leadership of significant launch, production or timing related issues (“no surprises”).<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Be the single point of customer contact on your programs.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Work with Program Management to ensure engineering resources and budget goals are met from award through SOP.&nbsp;<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Successfully fulfill people leadership and people development responsibilities, including providing mentorship and support of the international “back office” team; succession planning; resource planning, etc.&nbsp;<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Any and all other duties assigned by your Manager.<br>\n &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Education</strong>:&nbsp;<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s Degree Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace or similar)<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Preferred: Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace or similar)<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Chinese and/or Spanish language skills are a “plus” but not necessary.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;PMP training or Program Management experience desired</p>\n<p><br><strong>Work Experience and Skills Required:</strong><br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;7+ years’ experience in the automotive industry, including at least two successful product launches – preferably with North American OEMs.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience in all Airbags (Driver, Passenger, Side, Curtain, Knee) and Steering Wheel Design preferred.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards, product safety, compliance and regulatory requirements related to automotive safety.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience leading programs and teams with full engineering responsibility.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Airbag module testing and performance analysis experience.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Knowledge of plastic part design for injection molding.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously through excellent communication and strategic time management skills.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proficient in the Microsoft Office software suite, with a focus on Excel programming.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Knowledge of Injection Mold Tooling (gates, parting lines, action, etc.) as it relates to part design.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Plastic resin and materials selection knowledge as related to airbag modules and steering wheel components.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to develop component and sub-assembly GD&amp;T tolerancing and tolerance stack-up studies in support of manufacturing &amp; craftsmanship goals.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Knowledge of leather- and PUR wrapping processes and design limitations for steering wheels and driver airbags.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience and/or understanding in using CAE as a design and product optimization tool.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner in a team environment. &nbsp;Identify and address issues in a direct, “data driven” manner.<br>\n •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Self-motivated and enthusiastic;
