Description

Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Director, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to residents with respiratory disorders. Education/Certification: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty with a strong degree of professionalism. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum of H.S. degree or equivalent. Must be currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of California. Prefer at least two years in all aspects of Respiratory Care in a Sub-Acute setting. Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy. Prefer an advanced professional certificate or training. Prefer experience in critical care with technology dependence. Prefer ACLS certification. Must be certified in CPR. Must maintain current licensure in good standing during employment with this facility in accordance with the State Board.
