Description

Your mission Your mission is to lead our Java Development team within the Software Engineering department, both technically and as a disciplinary manager, and to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable software together with your team as part of OKAPI:Orbits' end-to-end solutions. You will support a team of currently five Java developers in designing, implementing, and sustainably operating modern services and event-driven systems. In this role, you combine genuine technical contribution with strong people leadership. You write and review code alongside your team, create clarity in priorities, actively invest in the growth of your team members, and ensure that technical decisions align with company goals and customer needs. In doing so, you directly contribute to enabling satellite operators and space agencies to efficiently plan, monitor, and control their missions in an increasingly dynamic orbital environment. Studies show that women are less likely to apply for a role if they do not meet 100 percent of the requirements. Please know that we still strongly encourage you to apply if you bring leadership potential, enthusiasm for software development, and a genuine interest in space technology. OKAPI:Orbits already brings together a highly diverse team and is actively committed to expanding this diversity further, as diverse teams consistently achieve better results and foster innovation.
