    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida is seeking a Clinical Dietitian (FULL-TIME), to join our team in Orlando, FL.</p>\n<p><strong>**$5,000 sign on bonus offered (external applicants only)</strong></p>\n<p>This position provides inpatient clinical coverage in coordination with Physicians and other members of the team. Coverage will be provided to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).</p>\n<p>This position is responsible for the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Functions as a nutrition consultant, completing nutrition consults and referrals from Nemours and community providers.</li>\n <li>Conducts nutrition assessment and intervention for Inpatients and Outpatients, as required by the specific position. &nbsp;For inpatients, this includes those patients identified at high nutrition risk; completes re-screens for patients who are identified at moderate or low nutrition risk upon admission.</li>\n <li>Develops and implements nutritional care plans based on diet history, labs, medications, supplements,&nbsp;medical history, medical care plan, and expected growth and development appropriate for&nbsp;the patient’s age, sex, cultural /ethnic background and disease specific&nbsp;requirements.</li>\n <li>Performs nutrition counseling for pediatric patients/caretakers regarding disease specific diets and /or formulas. This requires knowledge of composition of infant, pediatric, and adult formulas, along with ability to calculate specialized formula recipes and meal plans.</li>\n <li>Documents nutritional assessments and recommendations via EPIC medical record documentation system.</li>\n <li>Actively participates in team rounds, as necessary.</li>\n <li>Provides recommendations for and prescribes enteral feeding and parenteral nutrition orders, as necessary.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates clinical proficiency in direct clinical nutrition patient consultation/care and is responsible for the completion of 100% of clinical competencies (to include basic competencies and enteral/parenteral prescribing competencies, as deemed necessary by manager).</li>\n <li>Continually updates teaching materials recommended for nutritional therapies pertaining to specific diseases.</li>\n <li>Serves as nutrition resource to medical team, hospital staff and community.</li>\n <li>Interacts and coordinates nutritional care of patients with physicians and other health care providers (nurses, social workers, therapists, hospital/community dietitians, homecare companies, pharmacies, and school personnel).</li>\n <li>Fulfills on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule with other dietitian staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have<strong>&nbsp;</strong>completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree at a U.S. regionally accredited university or college and course work accredited or approved by the Commission on Accreditation&nbsp;for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.</li>\n <li>Minimum 1 year of experience required. Hospital experience preferred; at least 2 years of pediatric experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Master’s Degree in Nutrition related field preferred.</li>\n <li>Registered Dietitian with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics</li>\n <li>Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the state of Florida.</li>\n <li>Must have completed continuing professional educational requirements to maintain registration and licensure.</li>\n <li>Must obtain RD certificate within 180 days of hire by passing the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).</li>\n <li>Obtain Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist status through the Florida Department of State: Division of Professional Regulation within 6 months of hire.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Additional specialty certification preferred (CDE, CNSC and or CSP)</li>\n <li>Pediatric and NICU experience preferred.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>American Heart Association BLS Certification required.</li>\n <li>Travel to satellite clinic locations as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM with rotating remote weekend and holiday coverage.&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Nemours Children's Health offers a comprehensive and competitive benefit package which includes:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive base compensation in the top quartile of the market</li>\n <li>Annual incentive compensation that values clinical activity, academic accomplishments and quality improvement</li>\n <li>Comprehensive benefits: health, life, dental, vision</li>\n <li>403B with employer match, 457 retirement savings plans</li>\n <li>Licensure, CME and dues allowance</li>\n <li>Not-for-profit status; eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness</li>\n <li>For those living and working in Florida, enjoy the benefit of no state income tax.
