    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>Following upon our roots as a family owned and operated business for the past half century, Paraco is leading the way with numerous initiatives including our state of the art production line in Waterbury, CT. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be vital to our production line and facility maintenance in Waterbury and other locations in which we have propane tank refurbishment operations. &nbsp;Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work with the other maintenance technicians to ensure safe and reliable operation of the production line and facility operations. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to read and interpret machine manuals, blueprints, electrical and air logic schematics.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Perform mechanical skills and basic electrical skills to troubleshoot and repair production equipment.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to provide scheduled and unscheduled repairs of the production equipment and plant systems, and mobile equipment as needed.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Will be required to perform other mechanical skills such as welding, fabrication, cutting, lubrication, pneumatics, hydraulics, rigging, repairing power transmission equipment, etc.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Will use plumbing, pipefitting and carpentry skills to repair facility equipment/systems as needed.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to effectively communicate with production employees/management to obtain/provide information regarding equipment and system issues.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Use and understanding of personal protection equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout (LOTO) is required.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Desired skills and experience:</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent required</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Trade School, Vocational Training and previous Industrial Experience is preferred</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Mechanical/Electrical Skills&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Knowledge of industrial equipment, Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Robotics referred but will train.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Knowledge of LP gas systems is a plus</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>A valid driver&rsquo;s license is preferred. E1 or E2 license is a plus&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must have the ability to work the shift/number of hours in which duties need to be accomplished, including overtime and weekends if necessary.
