More ways to build a career that moves you forward.\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>LEXUS OF SANTA FE</strong>  is part of the fast growing Group 1 Automotive, a leader in automotive retail and service.</p>\n<p>We are growing and looking for <strong>experienced</strong> <strong>Automotive Service Technicians/Mechanics </strong>to work with our team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>We offer:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Above average compensation</li>\n <li>A Great Working Environment with the Latest Equipment</li>\n <li>Structured, Self-paced and Paid Training Opportunities Leading to Manufacturer and Group 1 Recognition</li>\n <li>Health, Dental & Vision Insurance</li>\n <li>Life and Disability Insurance</li>\n <li>401(k) with company match</li>\n <li>Paid Time-off</li>\n <li>Employee Vehicle Purchase Program</li>\n <li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan         </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.</li>\n <li>Complete routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake services, fluid exchanges, and multi-point inspections.</li>\n <li>Repair and replace vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems, steering systems, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.</li>\n <li>Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify concerns and confirm repair quality.</li>\n <li>Accurately document repair recommendations, completed services, parts used, and labor time in the dealership management system.</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding vehicle conditions, recommended repairs, and repair status updates.</li>\n <li>Maintain productivity and efficiency standards while ensuring quality workmanship.</li>\n <li>Follow all OSHA, manufacturer, dealership, and safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.</li>\n <li>Properly use and maintain dealership equipment, tools, lifts, and diagnostic devices.</li>\n <li>Stay current on manufacturer training, technical bulletins, and evolving automotive technologies.</li>\n <li>Assist fellow technicians and collaborate with team members to support shop productivity and customer satisfaction.</li>\n <li>Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance or repair needs and communicate findings through proper channels.</li>\n <li>Ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time to minimize comebacks and enhance customer satisfaction.</li>\n <li>Adhere to attendance, scheduling, and performance expectations established by dealership management.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous automotive technician or automotive mechanic experience required.</li>\n <li>ASE certifications preferred; manufacturer certifications are a plus.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret repair orders, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.</li>\n <li>Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.</li>\n <li>Ability to provide and maintain tools appropriate to skill level and job responsibilities.</li>\n <li>Basic computer proficiency and ability to utilize dealership software and diagnostic systems.</li>\n <li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, noise, and exposure to automotive chemicals and fumes.</li>\n <li>Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n <li>Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
