    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>We are searching for a Patient Sitter Texas Children's Hospital for our West Campus Float Pool - someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting to ensure the safety of patients at risk of harm to self or others, under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). &nbsp; Care will be delivered that incorporates Family Centered Care in a cost-effective manner and is developmental and age appropriate for the patient population.</p><p>Will float to EC, Acute Care, and Critical Care.<br>Think you’ve got what it takes?</p><p><strong>Shifts available:</strong></p><p>Days: 7a-3p</p><p>Nights: 11p-7a<br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong><br>High school diploma or GED&nbsp;<br>Knowledge of basic nursing care<br>Ability to respond quickly to requests and interact with people at all levels<br><strong>Preferred Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong><br>1 yr. experience in a psychiatric inpatient or outpatient program, Psychiatric Residential placement programs<br>Inpatient hospital experience or enrolled in an accredited Nursing education program<br>BLS – Basic Life Support from American Heart Association&nbsp;<br>CNA- Certified Nurse Assistant</p><p><br><i>As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards</i></p><p><strong>Responsibilities :</strong><br>Sitters are responsible for remaining with the assigned patient at all times during their assigned shift&nbsp;<br>Assists the R.N. to provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors and employees&nbsp;<br>Assists in identifying patient response to care provided and reports patient condition to the RN to assure achievement of desired outcomes&nbsp;<br>Demonstrates willingness and ability to acquire new knowledge, demonstrate new skills needed to improve individual, team, and organizational performance&nbsp;<br>Attends mandatory training and development activities and meets institutional and departmental health and safety requirements by established deadlines&nbsp;<br>Remains current in unit/hospital information and job expectations and training&nbsp;</p>",
