If so, see what Geneva Rock has to offer:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Amazing benefits</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>20% Target Bonus</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>6% 401K Match</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>6% Profit Sharing</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Paid Time Off and 8 Paid Holidays</strong></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Fantastic management and company stability</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Geneva Rock Products has a legacy of treating employees well since 1954.</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Family Owned and Locally Operated; our owners are proud Utahns.</strong></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY: </strong>Under the direction of the Safety Director, the Safety Manager is responsible for working with management and employees to ensure a safe and healthful work environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.</li>\n <li>Provide training, oversee policies and procedures are followed and assist with conflict resolution for fleet safety, vehicle, accident, and injury investigations.</li>\n <li>Accountable for safety data reporting for accidents and injuries.</li>\n <li>Responsible for a monthly safety toolbox training and safety scorecard.</li>\n <li>Serve as a business partner to supervisors in investigation and resolution of safety issues..</li>\n <li>Function as company expert on all safety related issues including workers compensation claims management, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations.</li>\n <li>Understand and ensure OSHA, MSHA, Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP) standards, FMCSA and other site specific safety plans and programs and company safety policies are followed.</li>\n <li>Responsible for all plant, job, and equipment inspection.</li>\n <li>Visit project sites, in the field, and walk through to ensure policies are followed.</li>\n <li>Attend meetings reporting on the job safety issues.</li>\n <li>Review, understand, and adhere to all union contracts.</li>\n <li>Maintain insurable driving record.</li>\n <li>Oversee compliance with all safety and requirements.</li>\n <li>Serve on various company management teams and industry organizations.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain good working relationships with various Geneva Rock and Clyde Companies business units and working groups, including attendance at divisional leadership team meetings and trainings.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain good working relationships with government.</li>\n <li>Other tasks as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline.</li>\n <li>Minimum five years' experience in the safety field.</li>\n <li>Safety training experience highly preferred.</li>\n <li>OSHA 500 authorized Outreach Trainer preferred or willing to obtain.</li>\n <li>MSHA certified Mine Safety and Health instructor preferred or willing to obtain.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work outside on various job sites.</li>\n <li>Significant driving.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>*Current employees are required to speak with immediate managers before applying for any open positions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Apply on-line at genevarock.com/careers/ and include a RESUME with application.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Referral Program: Current employees who refer qualified candidates prior to candidate interviews, will be eligible to receive referral bonuses should their candidate be hired.
