Position Title : Senior Commercial Loan Processor Exempt Status : Non-Exempt Reports to : Commercial Loan Processor Supervisor Location: University Center- Fort Worth, TX or Tyler Operations- Tyler, TX Benefits: Medical, Prescription Drugs, Dental, and Vision Insurance Insurance Eligibility for Team Members and Dependents Starting on the First Day of Employment 401(k) with a Match Basic, Voluntary, and Dependent Life Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Bank Holidays Workplace Wellness Programs Employee Assistance Programs Tuition Reimbursement Job Summary : Responsible for ensuring both real estate and non-real estate secured commercial loans originated in the Bank are closed in accordance with the proper loan approval and meet the Bank’s credit policy requirements. The Senior Commercial Loan Processor orders/collects and reviews entity documentation and collateral due diligence, engages lending partners to ensure loan documentation is consistent with the loan approval, and coordinates the final closing activities in the loan cycle. The Senior Commercial Loan Processor serves as the point of contact and process driver during the origination process to closing, ensuring an exceptional client experience. Essential Functions : Manages and leads the coordination of complex commercial loan closings from term sheet to initial funding for both internal and attorney-prepared loan documents by collaborating with internal lending partners, clients, title companies, attorneys, and third-party vendors. Responsible for reviewing loan documentation against credit approval and ensure documents comply with Bank, federal, and state regulations. Collects, reviews, and analyzes due diligence required to close a commercial loan including but not limited to, entity documentation, UCC searches, flood certificates, appraisals, environmental reports, insurance, lien searches, title commitments, surveys and all required documentation based on the collateral type. Prepares documents internally or engages attorneys, as applicable. Coordinates the flow of information between the Bank, borrower, and attorney firm. Processes initial funding upon receipt and review of executed closing package. Sets up initial collateral tracking for new loans, such as required recorded instruments, insurance, lien releases, etc. Perfects collateral based on collateral type which includes filing UCCs and recording security instruments, as applicable. Completes the Doc Prep tab within nCino. Uploads copies of Loan Agreement, Note, Boarding Data, and moves stage to booking. Builds and maintains effective relationships with lending partners, clients, and team members to ensure an exception client experience. Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive Bank information. Maintains a positive and caring atmosphere for customers and employees consistent with Southside Bank’s mission, CORE Values, and Blue Book culture guide. Provides enthusiastic, professional, and courteous service to Southside Bank customers and employees. Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established at Southside Bank. Responsible for complying with audit policies and procedures as they pertain to this position. Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws, and in accordance with the Bank’s Information Security Program. Must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Additional Functions: Perform routine duties with minimal supervision using standard practices or procedures. Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Performs additional duties as assigned or directed. Required Education/Experience : Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or a minimum of four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior commercial loan closing experience, including due diligence requirements of commercial collateral, entity documentation, and various loan types such as participations, syndications, construction, and lines of credit. Knowledge of financial institution policies, procedures, and regulations, preferred. Knowledge of Finastra (LaserPro) documentation preparation, preferred. Experience in direct customer interface environments, preferred. Necessary Skills : Ability to manage multiple loans at a time, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to focus on detailed work. Highly motivated and a self-starter. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and/or employees of the Bank. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Strong skills in Microsoft Windows 7, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Intermediate skills in understanding and working with database input/output. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills. Physical Activity/Dexterity: Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Works with fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials. Physical Environment Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to visit other offices, conference rooms, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and telephone. Constantly positions self to operate on a computer. The person in this position frequently communicates with other people throughout each day. Must be able to exchange accurate information when conversing. Working Conditions/Environment: Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Moderate noise (e.g. business office with computers and printers, light traffic). Work Schedule/Hours: Monday through Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm. Available for overtime, as needed. Travel: Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
