The intern will design and execute a multi-phase campaign culminating in a final advancement initiative.</p>\n<p>Internship is a good fit for a current UPIKE student with interest/major/minor in communication, film and media arts, information technology, English, management, medical humanities, social work, religious studies, or cultural studies.</p>\n<p>By the end of the internship, the student will:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and implement a marketing strategy for books and mission-based content</li>\n<li>Create and manage a nonprofit awareness campaign across digital platforms</li>\n<li>Brainstorm and provide initial planning for an advancement campaign</li>\n<li>Analyze campaign data to improve performance and decision-making</li>\n<li>Demonstrate growth in professional communication, leadership, and collaboration</li>\n<li>Reflect on personal strengths, career goals, and vocational direction</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Throughout the experience, the intern will intentionally develop competencies identified by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, including communication, critical thinking, leadership, professionalism, teamwork, technology, equity &amp; inclusion, and career &amp; self-development.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities and Career Competencies:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research the market and do audience analysis (CSD, C, CT, T)</li>\n<li>Develop a Book Marketing Strategy (CSD, C, CT, CTR, L, T)</li>\n<li>Create Content for Social Media (CSD, C, P, T)</li>\n<li>Develop Brand Storytelling Strategy (CSD, C, CTR, P, T)</li>\n<li>Organize Campaign Materials (CSD, P)</li>\n<li>Initiate an Advancement Campaign Plan (CSD, C, CT, L, P, TW, T)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Competencies/Skills: </span>Communication (C), Teamwork (TW), Professionalism (P), Career &amp; Self Development (CSD), Critical Thinking (CT), Community Transformation (CTR), Leadership (L), Technology (T)</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Computer Skills: </span>Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Social Media &amp; New Technology</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Skills: </span>Attention to detail, Strong active listening abilities, Written &amp; verbal communication, Customer focused, Willingness to learn new things</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Schedule: </span>Hours vary depending on workload</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands: </span>Keyboarding</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Number of Positions: </span>One<br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours needed per week: </span>15+. To receive course credit, students will complete assignments concurrently with internship work. Students are required to work a total minimum of 80 hours and will eligible for the following credit hours: 80-119 hours of work + course completion = 2 credit hours; 120-159 hours of work + course completion = 3 credit hours; 160-199 hours of work + course completion = 4 credit hours; 200-239 hours of work + course completion = 5 credit hours; 240+ hours of work = 6 credit hours. <em>Summer interns in this position cannot exceed 40 hours of work per week</em>.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Application Notes:</span> Resumes and applications will be reviewed to determine if you meet the required qualifications for the position.
