    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><em>Join a high-performing team that is going for a home run!</em></strong></p><p>Interstate Wire is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Environmental, Health &amp; Safety Specialist to help support and strengthen our safety culture across all manufacturing operations for IWC and Agave Wire. This role is responsible for executing day-to-day safety activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe, healthy work environment. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting and is comfortable serving as a visible, hands-on presence on the production floor. This position reports to Copperweld Bimetallic&rsquo;s Director of EHS and is on-site in Rockwall, Texas.</p><p><strong>WHAT we need you to do.</strong></p><ul><li>Support the EHS Director in implementing and maintaining company-wide safety programs, procedures, and policies.</li><li>Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments across operational areas.</li><li>Assist in incident investigations, participate in root-cause analysis, and help implement corrective and preventive actions.</li><li>Deliver or support safety training, toolbox talks, orientation programs, and ongoing education for employees and supervisors.</li><li>Monitor workplace conditions to identify unsafe behaviors, hazards, and improvement opportunities.</li><li>Maintain safety documentation, logs, and compliance-related records in accordance with OSHA and company requirements.</li><li>Support compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards through inspections, documentation, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Participate in the development and rollout of safety initiatives and EHS performance improvement projects.</li><li>Assist with emergency response plans, preparedness activities, and safety equipment inspections.</li><li>Serve as a resource for employees and leadership regarding safety procedures, PPE requirements, and best practices.</li><li>Help track, analyze, and report key safety metrics and trends to the EHS Director.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>WHAT you need to possess.</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety, occupational health, or EHS-related role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field is preferred.</li><li>Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, safe work practices, and hazard control methods.</li><li>Experience conducting audits, inspections, investigations, or safety training.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels.</li><li>Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to be regularly present on the production floor.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn EHS reporting systems.</li><li>Certifications such as OSHA 30, ASP, GSP, or other safety-related credentials are a plus (but not required).</li><li>Commitment to supporting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.</li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.</li></ul><p><strong>WHY Interstate?</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage&nbsp;</strong></li><li><strong>We invest in you with our 401K match!&nbsp;</strong></li><li><strong>Paid Time off &amp; Holidays</strong></li><li><strong>Great Place to Work-Certified!</strong></li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><em>Interstate wire Co is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
