    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Nemours is seeking an Ophthalmic Tech. (Full-Time), to join our team in Downtown Orlando, Florida.</p>\n<p>The COT provides individualized, age appropriate, culturally competent, goal directed and family centered care in the Ophthalmological clinic. The COT completes thorough medical histories and performs ophthalmological testing and ancillary procedures within their scope of practice. Position requires a great deal of initiative and flexibility to cope with stress and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Given the level of training and experience required in their position, the employee with be expected to work well independently. Employee must be extremely discreet to maintain patient confidentiality.&nbsp;</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Accurately collects health care data&nbsp;and&nbsp;documents&nbsp;appropriate&nbsp;information&nbsp;in&nbsp;patient record&nbsp;according&nbsp;to policy&nbsp;and&nbsp;training&nbsp;resources.</li>\n <li>Independently performs and accurately documents standard&nbsp;ophthalmological&nbsp;testing/procedures&nbsp;within&nbsp;COT&nbsp;scope of practice.</li>\n <li>Is&nbsp;responsible&nbsp;for&nbsp;professional practice&nbsp;and&nbsp;development&nbsp;of self&nbsp;and&nbsp;others according to scope of practice.</li>\n <li>Complies&nbsp;with&nbsp;and promotes Nemours Standards of Behavior.</li>\n <li>Provides&nbsp;safe&nbsp;and&nbsp;effective&nbsp;patient/family care.&nbsp;Maintains&nbsp;a&nbsp;safe&nbsp;environment&nbsp;for&nbsp;patients,&nbsp;families,&nbsp;visitors&nbsp;and&nbsp;employees.</li>\n <li>Performs&nbsp;clerical duties&nbsp;as&nbsp;assigned.</li>\n <li>Participates in&nbsp;ensuring&nbsp;the overall&nbsp;financial&nbsp;well-being of&nbsp;the&nbsp;Division&nbsp;of Ophthalmology&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;Nemours&nbsp;Foundation.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma required.&nbsp;&nbsp;Specialized (1 year of training beyond high school).</li>\n <li>Minimum of six (5) months to one (1) year of experience required.</li>\n <li>Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Technician preferred.</li>\n <li>&nbsp;Travel will be required to satellite locations.</li>\n</ul>",
