    "description": "<p><span>Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization.  We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>BHA an opening for a part-time RN / LPN to serve students and staff.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">JOB GOAL</span></p>\n<p><span>Provide healthcare to students and staff.  Perform health screenings.  Coordinate referrals to private healthcare providers.  Serve as liaisons between school personnel, family, and community healthcare providers to ensure a healthy school environment.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop plans for student care based on assessment, interventions, and identification of outcomes, and the evaluation of care.</li>\n<li>Serving as consultants with other school professionals.</li>\n<li>Provide health-related education to students and staff in both individual and group settings.</li>\n<li>Monitor immunizations, managing communicable diseases, and assessing the school environment as to prevent injury and ensure safety.</li>\n<li>Oversee infection control measures.</li>\n<li>Actively participate in school safety plans that address school violence, bullying, and emergencies that may occur at school.</li>\n<li>Overseeing medication administration, health care procedures, and the development of healthcare plans.</li>\n<li>Overseeing vision, hearing, body mass index, and mental health screening procedures.</li>\n<li>Making decisions related to the delegation of healthcare tasks as directed by state laws and professional practice guidance.</li>\n<li>Providing health advice to school staff.</li>\n<li>Assist families with locating outside care and obtaining health insurance.</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned by Administration.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ADDITIONAL</span></p>\n<p>May also provide interventions for:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acute and chronic illnesses</li>\n<li>Adolescent pregnancy</li>\n<li>Communicable diseases</li>\n<li>Dental disease</li>\n<li>Injuries and emergencies</li>\n<li>Mental health</li>\n<li>Nutrition</li>\n<li>Obesity</li>\n<li>Sexually transmitted diseases</li>\n<li>Substance use and abuse</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>May be required to provide health education to students in contemporary topics, such as:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adolescent pregnancy prevention</li>\n<li>Exercise</li>\n<li>Nutrition</li>\n<li>Oral health</li>\n<li>Parenting</li>\n<li>Prevention of sexually transmitted diseases/infections</li>\n<li>Smoking prevention and cessation</li>\n<li>Substance use and abuse</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid Certification as an RN or LPN</li>\n<li>Valid Driver's License</li>\n<li>CPR certification</li>\n<li>BSN preferred <br></li>\n<li>Ability to effectively communicate with parents, faculty, staff, and administration regarding student progress and needs.</li>\n<li>Basic computer literacy.</li>\n<li>Utilize effective verbal and written expression.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span><span> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">When applying to this position, please include a copy of your letter of interest, resume, and current clearances.    </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https://bhaeducation.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/1-Application.pdf\">Click Here to complete BHA's Employment Application for Support Staff (Non-Teaching Positions)</a></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 13px\">BHA is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
