Our innovative model is designed to promote sustainability and advancement among its partner agencies by streamlining operations and eliminating redundancies &#8211; resulting in improvements to the delivery of direct service operations.<br><br><u><strong>Position Description:</strong></u><br><br>The Environmental Services (EVS) Floor Care Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Agency facility and its outlying buildings in order to provide a clean, sanitary and attractive environment for clients, visitors and employees.<span style=\"font-size:10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-style:italic;\"><span style=\"font-style:normal;\"> </span></span></span></span><br><br><u><strong>Responsibilities Include:</strong></u><ul><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Determine accurate equipment and supplies needed to clean and maintain floors.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Strip, wax, scrub and recoat floors.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Vacuum and shampoo carpets.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Buff and maintain hard floors.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Keep equipment clean and in sound working condition.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Dust mop the floor for any loose debris and remove any gum residue.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Use specific chemical solutions crafted for flooring equipment.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Use accurate chemical dilution ratios according to manufacturer specifications.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Ensure no residue is left on the baseboard and kick plates or stainless-steel surfaces.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Use caution signs or caution tape appropriately when performing any project work that can result in a personal injury.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Remove trash and mop floors as advised.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Report the need for maintenance repairs to the Director of Environmental Services.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Communicate with clients and employees in a positive and professional manner.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Work closely with and maintain routine contact with Supervisor to improve customer service.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Ensure adherence to standard precaution practices and accurate infection control procedures.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Store and secure all equipment, tools, cleaning supplies and chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations.&#160;</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Work with fellow employees as a team participant.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Ensure storage room doors are closed and always locked.</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Remain in their assigned work area for the duration of their shift.&#160;</li><li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-left:8px;\">Close and lock all doors and windows and turn off lights before exiting a building.</li></ul><p><em>Wingspan Care Group (“Wingspan”) is the not-for-profit parent company of Applewood Centers, Inc., Bellefaire Jewish Children’s Bureau, Bluestone Child &amp; Adolescent Psychiatric Hospital, and Lifeworks.
