About this Role: We are seeking a highly technical and customer-facing Sales Engineer with deep expertise in hardware and software. This role will be a critical technical resource for our sales team, working alongside Account Executives to support product demonstrations, troubleshoot, and gather customer feedback to drive product improvements. The ideal candidate has a passion for drone technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical solutions in a clear and compelling manner. This position requires 75%+ travel to customer sites, trade shows, and field operations. Location: West Coast, USA, Central Coast, USA * We are not considering East Coast Candidates at this time. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the technical expert supporting Account Executives during sales engagements, ensuring customers understand the capabilities and value of BRINC’s DFR solutions. Help facilitate technical discussions with customers to understand how our solution can cater to their agency and operations Conduct live product demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements, both onsite and remotely. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software, providing hands-on support to customers. Act as the Voice of the Customer (VoC) by collecting and communicating feedback to engineering teams for product enhancements. Collaborate closely with sales leadership, hardware engineering, and software engineering teams to drive continuous improvement in product offerings. Develop technical documentation, training materials, and best practices for customers and internal stakeholders. Support deployment and integration efforts for customers adopting BRINC’s technology. Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging UAV technologies. 75% Travel Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a technical sales engineering, solutions engineering, or field engineering role. Experience selling software solutions (SAAS) Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges in real-world environments. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and convey technical concepts. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and product teams. Comfortable with extensive travel (75%+), including customer site visits, trade shows, and field operations. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Preferred Skills Experience in public safety, defense, or industrial UAV applications. Technical certifications in drone operations, networking, or software development. Hands-on experience with drone flight operations and regulatory compliance. Strong hardware and software expertise, preferably in UAV/drone technology, robotics, or autonomous systems. Experience with radio communications, networking, sensors, and cloud-based software platforms is a plus.
