Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Novelis has approximately 13,000 employees in 32 operating facilities on 4 continents.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<p>The Asset Protection Electrician provides leadership, standardization, innovation within the assigned area to maintain operation in the safest and most productive condition possible, while implementing continual improvements.  This position is a resource to enhance the reliability of asset protection systems and to support EHS across the plant.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Electrician will provide support to the Asset Protection Team assigned to Engineering Maintenance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition, the individual will be expected to participate in WCM, CI events, asset care plans, RCFA, and PM optimization activities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Job Qualifications:</u> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Greater than 1 year experience in EM Department preferred</li>\n <li>Currently Pay Grade 7 preferred (or higher)</li>\n <li>Able to work well with others one on one & in groups/team settings</li>\n <li>Receptive to feedback/input from process, operations, engineering, peers etc</li>\n <li>Good communication skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrates ability to transfer knowledge to others</li>\n <li>Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for improving equipment reliability</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em><u>Responsibilities:</u></em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><em>Fire/Hazard Detection and Suppression (all types) – Installation and Maintenance</em></li>\n <li><em>Hazard audits across plant</em></li>\n <li><em>Support for breakdowns outside normal working hours </em></li>\n <li><em>Assist Engineers/Project Managers with all aspects of projects including commissioning </em></li>\n <li><em>Train, mentor and guide fellow craftsmen</em></li>\n <li><em>Follow up on reoccurring problems to improve reliability including design changes</em></li>\n <li><em>Work with vendors on specific equipment</em></li>\n <li><em>Assist with Electrical documentation (DCN’s, etc)</em></li>\n <li><em>Work with planners/schedulers to ensure that adequate spares are on site and in BOM</em></li>\n <li><em>Develop/Update and publish JIs, Checklists, PMs</em></li>\n <li><em>Assist with predictive and precision maintenance </em></li>\n <li><em>Reports to Assoc EMRA – Asset Protection</em></li>\n <li><em>Entering time on WO’s as needed based on work done that day, entering notifications, TECO WO’s with notes.</em></li>\n <li><em>Occasionally assist other maintenance teams in EM with project installs and manpower needs</em></li>\n <li><em>Provide site support for periodic loss prevention visits and audits as required (both NNA and external)</em></li>\n <li><em>Attend certification training on system installation and applicable NYS Code</em></li>\n <li><em>Support other plants in similar discipline if needed</em></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Location Profile</h2>\n<p>Novelis Oswego is located in northern Central New York on the shores of Lake Ontario and employs approximately 1200 people.
