font-style: italic\">Supporting teaching and learning</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Actively push into classrooms to support student learning, participation, independence, and access to the curriculum;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide targeted academic and learning support to students in small-group and individual settings within the Student Support Centre, as needed;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Contribute to a caring and inclusive learning environment that promotes dignity, belonging, and student well-being;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Help students build self-advocacy skills, executive functioning strategies, confidence, and independence as learners;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Demonstrate a strong understanding of neurodiversity and a commitment to strengths-based, responsive educational practice;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Recommend, implement, and support assistive and educational technologies that enhance student access, engagement, organization, and independence;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to student support that reflects current best practice in inclusive education;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt, and scaffold curriculum, instruction, and assessment to meet diverse learner needs, apply accommodations and effective intervention strategies;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support the development of inclusive classroom practices grounded in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and differentiated instruction;</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-style: italic\">Individual Education Plans, Learning Data, and Home Partnerships</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Interpret psychoeducational assessments and other relevant documentation to identify student strengths, needs, and appropriate accommodations;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs), student support plans, and learning profiles;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Monitor student progress and use data to inform interventions, next steps, and ongoing support plans;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Participate in school-based team meetings and contribute to collaborative planning around student support and wellness;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain accurate, current, and confidential records related to student learning support, documentation, and communication;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Prepare reports and communicate with families regularly to foster strong, respectful, and supportive partnerships;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Liaise, where appropriate, with outside professionals and agencies to support student success in the school setting;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Bachelor of Education or Equivalent;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">BC Ministry of Education: Certificate of Qualification or Independent School Teaching Certificate.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Undergraduate or graduate level training in educating diverse learners.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Preferences</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">IB MYP/DP training or teaching experience;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">At least 1-2 years teaching experience;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Familiarity with the IB programmes, including inclusive practices within IB teaching and learning;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Valid First Aid Certificate.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Salary </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 10pt\">Southpointe's teacher salary grid is at 6% above the Delta public school salary grid at all levels of the grid;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 10pt\">The annual salary for a full-time teaching position at Southpointe Academy during the 2025-2026 school year ranges from $68,422 to $116,091 based on placement on the approved teacher salary grid;</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 10pt\">The Southpointe salary grid will increase at a percentage to be determined for the 2026-2027 school year. </span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 10pt\">Placement on the approved teacher salary grid is based on level of qualifications and duration of full-time teaching experience.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;
