This role is ideal for someone with strong manual testing experience who is<br>passionate about high-quality software delivery and enjoys partnering closely with product and<br>development teams. The Software QA Specialist will focus primarily on manual testing, with<br>opportunities to learn automation over time<br><br><u><strong>What You&#8217;ll Do</strong></u><ul><li>Develop and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web-based applications and backend services.</li><li>Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing to validate software functionality and ensure quality.</li><li>Identify, document, and track defects through established bug tracking tools, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.</li><li>Participate in Agile/Scrum activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.</li><li>Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.</li><li>&#160;Validate bug fixes, conduct re-testing, and support release cycles.</li><li>Provide clear reporting of test results and quality metrics to QA leadership and project<br>stakeholders.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing documentation, and best<br>practices.</li><li>Provide input to the development team on testability, usability, and quality improvements.</li><li>Support release readiness activities to ensure all components meet quality standards prior to<br>deployment.</li></ul><u><strong>What we're looking for</strong></u><ul><li>2&#8211;5 years of experience as a Software QA Specialist, QA Engineer, or similar role.</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, UAT).</li><li>Ability to test both UI and API components (Postman or similar tools preferred).</li><li>Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum processes.</li><li>Experience using bug and project tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar systems.</li><li>Ability to create clear, accurate test cases, test scenarios, and defect documentation.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.</li><li>Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.</li></ul><strong>Nice to Have (Not Required)</strong><ul><li>Basic knowledge of test automation concepts or willingness to learn (Selenium, Playwright, TestCafe, etc.).</li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD environments and software release cycles.</li><li>Experience with mobile application testing.</li><li>Experience executing cross-browser or cross-platform testing.</li><li>Basic understanding of SQL or RDBMS scripting for test data validation</li></ul><b>Why First Advantage is Your Next Big Career Move</b><br><br>First Advantage is going through a technology transformation!
