The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the production equipment, the building, and supporting equipment in the Forgeworks manufacturing operations so they are available to achieve the production goals and objectives. This role will determine causes of breakdown or failure in electrical or mechanical equipment. The Maintenance Technician repairs, adjusts, modifies, and services all equipment and works as directed with project manager while adhering to proper safety protocol.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role is located in <strong>Montpelier, OH </strong>and will be fully on-site. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Starting Pay:</strong> $33.12</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Week A: M-Th 6a-6p Week B: M-W 6a-6p - \"A\" crew</p>\n<p><strong>Pay Schedule:</strong> Weekly</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Maintenance Technician </strong><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><strong><u> </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work safely and promote the safety of those working around you; help build a proactive safety culture</li>\n <li>Identify and correct potential safety hazards in order to prevent injuries</li>\n <li>Make the equipment available to the production workforce by:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Determining the cause of equipment breakdown or failure and make necessary repairs</li>\n   <li>Analyzing drawings, manuals, wiring diagrams, etc. as required to install, repair, calibrate or otherwise service all types of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic devices and systems</li>\n   <li>Applying preventative methods and routine maintenance to reduce unplanned equipment downtime</li>\n   <li>Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions</li>\n   <li>Provide input into the preventive maintenance programs</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Support management of spare parts inventories</li>\n <li>Keep the building and support equipment in working order by performing repairs and modifications</li>\n <li>Coordinate with outside maintenance and repair contractors when necessary to complete work </li>\n <li>Develop and support maintenance scheduling and planning including Preventative Maintenance efforts</li>\n <li>Work as a backup operator when needed</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Maintenance Technician Qualifications:</strong><strong><u> </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A demonstrated safety orientation</li>\n <li>5 years manufacturing related maintenance experience</li>\n <li>Experience troubleshooting PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic machine systems:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Proficient in Allen Bradley logic</li>\n   <li>Electrical knowledge up to 480 volts</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Self-starter with a proactive mindset able to prioritize work based on the schedules, goals and objectives of the organization.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing</li>\n <li>Experience using a maintenance management system such as MAXIMO</li>\n <li>High School graduate, technical certification in PLC programming, hydraulics & electronics repair is highly desirable</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Joining Wieland’s team gives you…</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Benefits</strong> - Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more!</li>\n <li><strong>Retirement Savings</strong> - 401(k) contribution + match.</li>\n <li><strong>Work/Life Balance</strong> - Paid Vacation & Holidays.</li>\n <li><strong>Growth Opportunities</strong> - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
