Taylor’s Construction Inc., empowers businesses, homes, and entire communities with robust connectivity solutions.</p>\n<h2>About this Role</h2>\n<p>Taylor’s Construction is seeking motivated and safety-conscious <strong>Telecom Linemen</strong> to join our expanding telecommunications infrastructure crews in the New Martinsville, WV area This role involves hands-on work with aerial fiber and copper cable installation, lashing, strand placement, and other core aspects of aerial telecom construction. Ideal candidates will have field experience and a solid understanding of telecom safety standards and job site productivity expectations.</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Install aerial telecommunications infrastructure including strand, fiber optic cable, coaxial cable, and associated hardware.</li>\n <li>Perform lashing and over-lashing of fiber and copper cable on aerial plant.</li>\n <li>Read and interpret utility locates, construction prints, and permit documents.</li>\n <li>Set up safe work zones with appropriate signage, traffic, and pedestrian control.</li>\n <li>Attach and secure hardware (e.g., terminals, closures, guy wire, anchors) to poles, cables, and structures.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with customer specifications, local codes, and safety regulations.</li>\n <li>Conduct daily vehicle, trailer, and equipment inspections and minor maintenance (greasing, oiling, etc.).</li>\n <li>Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site safely.</li>\n <li>Identify and address clearance issues before installation to maintain system integrity.</li>\n <li>Participate in all required safety briefings and job hazard analysis meetings.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean and organized job site, including proper vehicle and tool cleanliness.</li>\n <li>Remain available for occasional overtime, night work, weekends, or 24-hour on-call rotation as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>At least 2 years of experience in telecom construction or lineman work.</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of electricity, cabling, rigging, and safe climbing practices.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in all weather conditions.</li>\n <li>Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain one.</li>\n <li>Current DOT medical card or ability to pass DOT physical.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with state/local clearance and right-of-way code, preferred</li>\n <li>Prior experience with strand mapping, splicing prep, or small cell deployment, preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Get</h2>\n<p>As a Quanta Services employee, we offer a wide range of benefits to fit your needs.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k) with immediate matching and vesting</li>\n <li>Fully comprehensive benefits packages; Medical, Dental, Vision\n  <ul>\n   <li>Your choice of PPO, HSA, FSA</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Short term and long term benefits</li>\n <li>Employee discounts on consumer goods</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-GR1</p>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>\n<p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
