The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, coordinating emergency communications, responding to incidents, and maintaining situational awareness in a fast-paced operational environment.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills in both English and French, demonstrate sound judgment under pressure, and be capable of working in accordance with government security protocols and operational procedures.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>**Must have resided in Canada for a minimum of 5 years continuously**</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Clearance. Possession of an active Reliability Status or Secret Clearance is considered a strong asset.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Title:</strong> Security Professional</p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Ottawa, Ontario<strong>Compensation:</strong> $21:00 per hour<strong>Shift Type:</strong> Full-time & Part-Time<strong>Shift Schedule:</strong>  Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday ,Friday ,Saturday & Sunday<strong>Working Hours:</strong> Various </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and other security systems.</li>\n <li>Receive, assess, prioritize, and respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.</li>\n <li>Dispatch security personnel and coordinate responses as required.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and operational records.</li>\n <li>Communicate professionally and effectively in both English and French with security personnel, site management, government representatives, and emergency responders.</li>\n <li>Escalate incidents in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).</li>\n <li>Monitor and report security threats, operational disruptions, and critical incidents.</li>\n <li>Conduct investigations and gather relevant information for incident reporting.</li>\n <li>Maintain confidentiality of sensitive government and operational information.</li>\n <li>Support emergency management and business continuity activities when required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Required Qualifications</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid Provincial Security Guard Licence.</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Minimum of six (6) months of GSOC, Security Operations Centre, Dispatch, Control Centre, or related security experience.</li>\n <li>Fluency in both English and French (verbal and written).</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.</li>\n <li>Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience working within a government, critical infrastructure, or corporate security environment.</li>\n <li>Experience with CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, and incident management systems.</li>\n <li>Emergency communications or dispatch experience.</li>\n <li>First Aid/CPR Certification.</li>\n <li>Existing Government of Canada security clearance.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Working Conditions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>24/7 operational environment.</li>\n <li>Extended periods of monitoring multiple security platforms and systems.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively manage high-priority incidents in a fast-paced setting.</li>\n <li>Overtime opportunities may be available based on operational requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Opportunities for career development and advancement within the organization</p></li>\n <li>Paid training programs to support professional growth and skill development</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Application Process:</strong>As part of our standard hiring procedure, candidates who are shortlisted will be required to undergo a background check, which may include verification of criminal history, previous employment, and other necessary checks as per company policy</p>\n<h2>Closing</h2>\n<p>Allied Universal® is an inclusive and equitable employer, encouraging applications from qualified women and men including persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities, and Aboriginal persons.</p>\n<h2>Requisition ID</h2>2026-1607417",
