Strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service are key to succeeding in this position.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>In this role, you will be responsible for:</strong></p><ul><li>Performing residential service work by diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems, identifying issues, and executing repairs to restore functionality.</li><li>Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers, to ensure reliable operation.</li><li>Effectively communicating with customers to explain electrical problems, present repair or replacement options, and provide clear recommendations based on their needs.</li><li>Handling physical demands of the job, such as pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, and lifting heavy objects safely.</li><li>Performing basic wiring tasks, including installing disconnects, whips, branch circuits, breakers, and other electrical accessories, ensuring proper connections and functionality.</li><li>Utilizing a thorough knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in the electrical trade, including their proper handling and maintenance.</li><li>Applying knowledge of electrical codes and regulations to ensure all work is compliant with local, state, and national standards, and to maintain safety on the job site.</li><li>Additional duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>A positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.</li><li>Adaptability, flexibility, and creativity as a collaborative team player.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to address and resolve electrical issues.</li><li>A valid driver’s license with a least 3 years of driving experience</li><li>Over 2 years of electrical experience, preferably with a focus on residential projects.</li><li>The physical ability to lift to 50 lbs. as required by the job</li></ul><p><strong>The physical requirements of this job include:</strong></p><ul><li>Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally</li><li>Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work.</li><li>Ability to drive.</li><li>Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces.</li><li>Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.</li><li>Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.&nbsp;</li><li>Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.</li><li>The work requires regular exposure to extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, such as heat or cold, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow.</li></ul><p>Southern Home Services will make reasonable accommodations to allow an employee to perform the essential functions of the job.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We offer a rewarding career path with great benefits, flexible schedules, professional and on-the-job training, and growth plans.
