You’ll work with cutting-edge equipment, troubleshoot issues, and help keep our city’s infrastructure in top shape—all while enjoying a dynamic and rewarding work environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain &amp; Repair Water Systems: Read meters, identify and repair leaks, and install new water and sewer mains.</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot &amp; Resolve Issues: Operate remote control cameras to inspect sewer lines, clean blockages, and repair manholes.</li>\n<li>Operate Specialized Equipment: Use heavy machinery such as dump trucks, backhoes, and forklifts, as well as power tools.</li>\n<li>Ensure Public Safety: Install work safety zones, direct traffic at worksites, and maintain fire hydrants.</li>\n<li>Respond to Emergencies: Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs and urgent maintenance needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledgeable &amp; Skilled: Familiarity with water and wastewater systems, utility meter operations, and equipment maintenance.</li>\n<li>Hands-On Experience: Ability to use hand and power tools effectively, operate heavy machinery, and perform physical tasks in various conditions.</li>\n<li>Problem-Solver: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently.</li>\n<li>Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with colleagues, contractors, and the public.</li>\n<li>Adaptable &amp; Reliable: Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and be available for emergency call-outs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Minimum Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n<li>At least one to two years of experience in a related role or an apprenticeship.</li>\n<li>Valid Texas driver’s license (or ability to obtain one).</li>\n<li>Ability to obtain a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Class C or higher license in water and wastewater.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Work Environment &amp; Physical Demands:</span></p>\n<p>This is an active role that requires frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and exposure to outdoor elements, noise, and machinery.
