Our stability, resources, and respectful culture supports you in building a solid career with a great team you can count on day in and day out for the long term.</p><p>As the <strong>Sr. Engineering Manager, </strong>you will<strong> &nbsp;</strong>direct the activities and operations of an engineering department/project team through assigning, coordinating, reviewing, and participating directly in the design, development and inspection of technical or engineering work/projects.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Direct Reports May Include:&nbsp; Engineer/Engineering Technologist/Specialist, Writer, Technical; Administrator, Support Services; Assistant, Technical Library; Coordinator.</p><p><span><strong>What you’ll do</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Develop and implement standards, policies and procedures for engineering and technical work performed in the relevant department/project team.</span></li><li><span>Plan, organize, direct and control the activities and operations of an engineering department/project team.</span></li><li><span>Consult and negotiate with clients to prepare specifications, explain proposals and present engineering reports and findings.</span></li><li><span>May participate directly in the design, development and inspection of technical projects or in the engineering work of the department/project team.</span></li><li><span>Oversee engineering projects to ensure they are technically sound and in compliance with all internal and external regulatory standards.</span></li><li><span>Monitor the progress of on-going projects, make recommendations for improving the process to meet the needs of the end-users, performs job cost reporting, budget analysis and reporting of overall project control.</span></li><li><span>Determine if assistance is required from outside contractors, initiates arrangements, provides technical data and assists contractors with related support services.</span></li><li><span>Exercise authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of direct reports.</span></li><li><span>Actively participate as a member of the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and realization of departmental strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.</span></li><li><span>Carry out special projects as assigned.</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Position Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>University degree in an engineering discipline; or equivalent (Required)</span></li><li><span>5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline, including minimum of 2 years supervisory experience (Required)</span></li><li><span>3+ years’ experience in the engine maintenance repair and overhaul space (Required)</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Preferred Characteristics</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.</span></li><li><span>Strong project management skills.</span></li><li><span>Working knowledge of PC's in the current company operating system environment.</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Salary Range:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span>$140,000 – $160,000</span></p><p><span>This position is located in the San Joaquin Valley area of California.
