    "description": "<p>Overview<br>We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join the Market Securities IT Department.<br>You'll have responsibility for setting up, developing and maintaining the global networks within<br>the organisation and between offices and different locations. You'll be involved in designing new<br>networks and implementation.<br>Your aim is to ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure to provide<br>maximum performance for your users and the global infrastructure, which will include but is not<br>limited to:<br>• Routers<br>• Switches<br>• Gateways<br>• Firewalls<br>• Security<br>• VPN<br>• Appliances<br>Key Responsibilities<br>• Plan, design and implement functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)<br>• Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices<br>• Monitor network performance and integrity<br>• Resolve issues that have been escalated, by troubleshooting cloud/third party providers<br>and local infrastructure<br>• Automate tasks and monitor effectiveness<br>• Mentor team members and give advice on technical issues<br>• Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster<br>recovery)<br>• Communicate with users when required.<br>• Maintain complete technical documentation<br>• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability<br>• Project management<br>Requirements<br>• Proven hands-on network engineering experience (Palo Alto)<br>• CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP would be desirable)<br>• Excellent knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, QoS,<br>ToS, MPLS, WSD)<br>• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model, WAN infrastructure and management<br>of Layer 2<br>• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytic tools<br>• Ability to sustain a high level of drive, enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping<br>with pressure at work<br>• Works in a cooperative, respectful manner with colleagues and clients<br>• Strong communicator (verbal and written)<br>• Able to work in a team environment and under pressurised timelines<br>• Excellent attention to detail and someone who will look to improve processes where<br>relevant<br>• Degree or training in Computer Science or a related subject is highly desirable</p>",
