The position will work on local, regional, and international projects including marina and water access facilities, coastal restoration, beach and inlet management, climate adaptation and nature-based solutions, and resort and urban waterfronts. We offer <u>competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs</u> to support you and your family, as well as mentoring and career development support. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop business and manage clients and projects in coastal projects including beach nourishment, shoreline stabilization, dredging, environmental restoration and mitigation, etc.</li>\n <li>Task and project management, including waterfront and coastal engineering investigations and planning work, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability;</li>\n <li>Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the waterfront and coastal engineering work in marine related projects;</li>\n <li>Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors;</li>\n <li>Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing;</li>\n <li>Reviewing and managing written document production; and</li>\n <li>Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.</li>\n <li><strong>Fieldwork: </strong>Up to 20%</li>\n <li><strong>Overnight travel:</strong> Up to 20%</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, or environmental engineering, coastal science, or closely related field of study. (required)</li>\n <li>Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Professional registration (e.g., EIT or PE) (preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 8 years (10+ years preferred) of experience in a consulting environment in the coastal/waterfront industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)</li>\n <li>Exceptional social skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills, in English. (required)</li>\n <li>Proficiency with mapping or drafting software such as ArcGIS or AutoCAD. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and overnight travel. (required)</li>\n <li>Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.</li>\n <li>Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)</li>\n <li>Valid passport (or eligibility obtain) and ability/willingness to travel internationally to support project work.
