    "description_html": "<p><strong>Electric Machinery Company, a division of WEG Electric Corp.</strong></p><p><strong>Minneapolis, MN&nbsp;</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position:</strong> &nbsp;Senior R&amp;D Software Engineer&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Department: </strong>R&amp;D Department</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Primary Objective of Position:</strong></u></p><p>The Research &amp; Development (R&amp;D) Software Engineer is responsible for developing software solutions for monitoring large rotating electrical machines. &nbsp;Position focuses on frontend applications; interfacing with the equipment via Edge Computing. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Major Areas of Accountability:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Research and Development; accountable for carrying out and/or supporting research and development projects.</li><li>Design and Development; responsible for designing and carrying out experiments on prototype and production machines to verify analyses.</li><li>Manages the planning, analysis, scheduling, test verification, and executing of R &amp; D projects.</li><li>Accountable for generating specifications, standards, and project reports supporting both R&amp;D projects and Production Engineering projects.</li><li>Collaborates with cross-functional teams providing technical support to other departments; resolving technical issues to meet special customer requirements.</li><li>Must adhere to and fully support the Electric Machinery Quality Policy.</li><li>Ensures compliance with applicable company | departmental policies and procedures.</li><li>Domestic and international customer travel of up to 25%; troubleshooting at customer sites.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Qualifications</strong></u><strong>:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience; 5+ years’ experience in the design or development of custom software for front end applications or other app design of stand-alone devices.&nbsp;</li><li>Education; BS degree in Computer Science or related field required; advanced degree preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with architecture of modern programs in order to integrate stand-alone devices to existing user systems.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to understand, evaluate, and solve complex issues of technical content.</li><li>Experimentation, coding, or analytical design experience required. Proficient with C/C++ and Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SAP (preferred). Working knowledge of C#.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated experience working with communication systems; USB, EIA-485, MODBUS, or other protocols preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated experience developing software for Windows &amp; Linux.</li><li>Must be an enthusiastic self-starter, who is results-oriented and a team player.</li><li>Excellent communication skills; ability to present results via written reports, presentations, multimedia, etc. with internal and external customers.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to keep multiple tasks and activities coordinated, prioritized, documented, and in motion or progress at one time.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></u></p><ul><li>Must be able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds unassisted.&nbsp;</li><li>Routinely ascends/descends ladders and stairs.</li><li>Ability to routinely move throughout the plant and office environment to perform work.</li><li>Routinely remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.</li><li>Occasionally uses repetitive motions including the wrists, hands or fingers to operate computers, machinery or tools.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Salary&nbsp;</strong></u></p><p>$95,000 - $110,000</p>",
