Location: Lexington Park, MD Security Clearance Requirement: Active Secret with the ability to obtain a TS clearance. Telework Eligible? No, work will be performed 100% on-site. What You’ll Do: As a Network Administrator , you’ll join a top-notch team in support of NAVAIR’s new Simulators at Sea (S@S) system. This system increases aviator readiness and is the first integrated training capability for an air wing to deploy on a Navy carrier. Get in on the ground floor of an exciting DoD initiative! Key Responsibilities: Implementing operating systems and network device security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides. Specifying, configuring, and administering boundary devices (i.e., managed switches, proxy servers, routers, firewalls, cryptography, and intrusion detection systems); managing remote switches and routing. Performing vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks. Correcting flaws and implementing technical controls in the hardware or software installed within the network environment. Managing, architecting, and implementing physical networks to include logical need to know separation between data. This description outlines the general nature and scope of the role. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
