Description

Overview The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for inspecting materials and products for accuracy and quality. This position ensures all materials for each install is with the correct job and ready for the next day’s installs. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Responsibilities Inspects quality on manufactured and purchased materials for each job Utilizes cut lists and/or drawings to insure that finished parts are correct size and color Reviews production folders to ensure all areas have confirmed completion of finished products (e.g., doors/drawers, bar/rail) Ensures all materials for each job are placed in appropriate bays Evaluates quality issues within production department and assists management with recommendations for corrective action. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management Stacks cut materials properly, in accordance with established production guidelines for height Works within established time guidelines and cycle times Adheres to company safety guidelines: Wearing of safety glasses Wearing ear plugs Contributes to the successfulness of the department. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment Contributes to a clean and safe Manufacturing site Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information Performs other requested tasks and duties We believe in taking care of our team. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
