Strive to provide excellent customer service in a professional and congenial manner.</p><p><strong><u>Essential Functions/Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>To understand and commit to the Mission of the College ~&nbsp;Dodge City Community College provides a student-centered learning environment where students can achieve their educational, personal, and career goals.</li><li>Transport teams &amp; equipment safely to destinations during the week or weekends to meet teams game schedules.</li><li>Maintain compliance with established hours of service regulations and all DOT safety procedures. &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles/buses in a safe and a courteous manner.</li><li>Complete inspections and check the condition of all vehicles&rsquo; tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment.</li><li>Report any malfunctions or needed repairs.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of first-aid and defensive driving procedures.</li><li>Responsible for keeping the interior of the bus clean and orderly during travels as well as checking and cleaning buses and restrooms after travels have been completed. &nbsp;</li><li>Make minor repairs to vehicles.</li><li>Assist with moving of vehicles to offsite service locations.</li><li>Perform cleaning, disinfecting and detailing of all fleet vehicles. &nbsp;</li><li>Enforce safety rules and regulations during bus travels.</li><li>Assist with general maintenance in other areas as needed.</li><li>Assist with removal of snow and ice on sidewalks, drives, and parking lots.</li><li>Assist in promoting the safety, health and comforts of students and employees.</li><li>Responsible for conformance with the policies as established by the College&#39;s Board of Trustees and the procedures that apply to the position.</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by Fleet Manager or Director of Facilities &amp; Operations.</li></ul><p><em>The above job description supersedes all previous descriptions. &nbsp;This description is intended to be a tool to describe the primary purpose of the job and the Essential Functions and Responsibilities. &nbsp; The job description may not be inclusive of all duties and job responsibilities. &nbsp;Administration has the right to add to or change the job responsibilities to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods at any time.</em></p><p><strong><u>Required Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>GED or high school diploma</li><li>Valid Kansas driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>CDL with passenger endorsement</li><li>Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment</li></ul><p><strong><u>Supervisory Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul start=\"3\"><li>None</li></ul><p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong><strong>:</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;With or without assistance</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to drive a bus for long periods of time.</li><li>Ability to lift and carry 25-45 lb. loads over 50 yd. multiple times in a 4 hr. period</li><li>Ability to work on feet (standing, walking, constant movement) for 4 hr. period</li><li>Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, climb, crawl, and lift objects for a 4 hr. period</li><li>Ability to lift 40 lb. objects over head up to 7 ft. high</li><li>Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy equipment and machinery.</li><li>Ability to work in adverse weather conditions for 4 hr. periods</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly with other employees</li></ul><p><strong>V: &nbsp;<u>Building Assignment</u></strong></p><p>Maintenance</p>\n    </div>\n  \n",
