A. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
On the day of commencement (6/13/26), the Student Driver/Assistant is responsible for supporting guests, especially ADA or those who have trouble walking, by transporting them to certain destinations. Key responsibilities include:
Driving an SCU cart to transport ADA guests during undergraduate commencement and graduate commencement ceremonies; will transport guests from their vehicles to Steven's stadium and from Steven's stadium back to their vehicles
Fostering a welcoming environment for guests and graduates during commencement
Transporting CSS Umbrella staff members to various posts if needed
Other duties as assigned:
Outside of commencement day, assisting Parking and Transportation Services with various tasks
B. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
On the day of commencement, considerable time is spent sitting in a golf cart and driving
Outside of commencement day, considerable time is spent at a desk using a computer terminal
C. WORK ENVIRONMENTS:
Outdoors on Santa Clara University campus
Typical office environment
D. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a driver's license
Must be available on June 13th, 2026 from 6 AM to 11 PM
Strong customer service and communication skills
Telecommute
